This canvas holds no paint. It is redrawn continuously, derived from the ground, water, air, and sky near my home in San Diego. Atmospheric measurements and ocean swell come from the Open-Meteo API, sampled at twenty-four points across San Diego County, spanning from the Pacific Coast to the Pacific Crest. Tide data comes from NOAA Tides and Currents at Scripps Pier. The sun and moon are calculated, not fetched. Thirty days of past weather settle at the bottom like sediment. This is all happening right now, a few miles from where it hangs. See how it's built.
